Our carpet recycling process is simple, but it requires something many flooring companies don't have: the space and infrastructure to collect significant quantities of used carpet.

Leader Flooring maintains a dedicated semi-trailer container at our warehouse specifically for removed carpet. As our crews remove old carpet from residential and commercial projects, eligible material is brought back to our facility and loaded into the container.

When the container is full, Los Angeles Fiber picks it up and transports the collected carpet for recycling. This allows us to divert substantial quantities of used carpet from traditional landfill disposal.

How Our Carpet Recycling Program Works

2. We Collect the Used Carpet

Rather than automatically sending the removed carpet to a landfill, we bring qualifying carpet back to our facility for collection.

3. We Fill Our Dedicated Recycling Container

Leader Flooring maintains a semi-trailer container at our warehouse dedicated to collecting used carpet.

4. Los Angeles Fiber Picks It Up

Once the container is full, Los Angeles Fiber picks it up from our facility and transports the carpet for recycling.

5. The Carpet Gets Another Use

Instead of treating the removed carpet simply as waste, the material enters a recycling process where it can be recovered and repurposed.
